Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister, will inaugurate projects worth more than Rs 77,400 crore when he visits Gujarat from Monday. The statement revealed that Modi will open the locomotive manufacturing plant and flag off an electric locomotive in Dahod.
He will next visit Bhuj and begin several development projects valued at more than Rs 53,400 crore.
The prime minister is expected to speak at events held in both cities.
On Tuesday, PM Modi will be at an event to mark 20 years of Gujarat Urban Growth Story and launch the Urban Development Year 2025 in Gandhinagar.
When he was chief minister, PM Modi introduced "Urban Development Year 2005" in Gujarat to help improve the state's cities by building new infrastructure, creating a better system of governance and raising the quality of life for city residents.
As the initiative reaches its twentieth anniversary, he will announce the "Urban Development Year 2025," launch Gujarat’s urban development plan and inaugurate the State Clean Air Programme in Gandhinagar.
The prime minister will also open and start work on several projects aimed at urban development, health and water supply.
